The beginning of the cultivation of the vine, with the production of wine, by Tornatore Family dates back to 1865 when the great grandfather of the current owner inrtaprende farming. In 1910 Giuseppe, the grandfather of the current owner, built a house with a millstone in the district Piano Fair with adjoining 2 hectares of vineyards in addition to other 2ha in the district on the north side of Etna at an altitude of 1,000 meters Ferns Plan s.l.m. The Tornatore family has always had a detailed knowledge of the territories of the town of Castiglione di Sicilia since his grandfather Joseph and Uncle John were appointed at the beginning of the 30's cadastral indicators, accompanying the surveyor to detect particles, to define boundaries and names of the districts. After fermentation, the grapes remain still steep for a few days after which they are svinate and pressed with vertical press of the traditional type.

Ruby red with faint purple, typical of the variety is not very rich in color.
The nose are clear hints of red fruits, morello cherry, black cherry. The palate is characterized by its typical balanced tannins and a surprising fullness, flavor and length.
