In the eastern slope of Mount Etna, in the woods of the National Park and in front of the sea of ​​Taormina, the Gambino vineyards are a treat for the senses and the heart.
A feast for the eyes, as it represents one of the best examples of high altitude vineyards of Etna: in a unique natural environment, 800 meters above sea level, the vineyards are set on the sunny and breezy terraces, a breathtaking panorama. A pleasure for the heart, as the vineyards and wine are the great passion that, for over twenty years, involves and guides the Raciti Gambino family.

Unique conditions of climate and soil determine the uniqueness of the grapes and the wine of Etna. At higher altitudes the temperature changes between day and night (large, up to 13-15 ° C in July and August, in the period of veraison) allow a phenolic ripeness and aromatic essential for the color and flavor of red grapes, and the aroma of white grapes. The volcanic soil (ripiddu) is also rich in potassium (with dual concentrations than the other grounds) that provides a balanced sugar content of the grapes and a proper balance between acids and alcohols.
