Etna in the sap flowing from the vineyards of Cottanera that, with its border viticulture, is one of the most interesting of the Italian and international wine scene. Those of Cottanera are vineyards that rise on lava rock, 700 meters above sea level, along the northern slopes of the volcano, and that screw with Etna breath becoming the mirror of a single territory, precious, evocative and rich in charm. The name, chosen by the company, is related to an ancient village which limits the family vineyards along the bank of the river Alcantara.
Cottanera is a 100-hectare jewel of all gathered, of which 65 are vineyards.
The vineyards and winery are located in Castiglione di Sicilia (CT), where, therefore, take place all stages of the supply chain from harvesting to bottling.
"To look to the future we can not but take into account the education we have received. The earth, as my father taught me, is an invaluable asset, because it is the beginning of everything and what we will be," this business philosophy that William and repeated that he wanted to pass on to their children.
He was the first to bet on the value of the black lands.
